Opened in 1910 Bristol Filton Airport has been the birthplace of many important and exciting aviation projects such as the Bristol Freighter, Bristol Fighter, the Britannia and of course Concorde.
Today the Airport is used extensively by general aviation and corporate traffic. Additionally the airport supports aviation maintenance and paint business based in our large hangar facilities.
The main runway (09/27) is 2467 metres (8093 ft) long and is equipped with ILS at both ends which, together with other approach aids, ensures operation in all but the very worst weather conditions.
Our abundance of space and excellent facilities enable us to welcome and offer a wide range of services to customers seeking to operate from an airport ideally located and amply equipped to serve the South West of England and Wales.
Situated just north of Bristol, close to major road and rail networks, Filton is an ideal Airport for the busy business executive. At some major airports, Business Aviation can often be held in second place to scheduled operations. Filton however, can claim considerable experience in handling corporate travel which can be tailored to suit the individual's needs in addition to offering well established services for flight training and aircraft storage. There is no better location from which to access Bristol and the many places of interest in the West Country and into South Wales.
