Filton Airport has started a programme of works which will comprise:
- resurfacing taxiway ALPHA and BRAVO
- creating a new Apron (Between existing Aprons 3 and 4)
- upgrading ground communications equipment.
The main work will be carried out in a number of phases with taxiways and aprons being closed to ensure safe operation of aircraft at all times. Work is planned to be complete by end of September 2008 with a new airfield boundary fence positioned immediately on completion. The new apron is expected to be operational by end of October 2008.
